Guide dogs can see traffic lights. Although dogs can only see black, white and dark gray, they can distinguish traffic lights based on the difference in light brightness. Dogs have a very subtle ability to distinguish shades of gray. Relying on this ability, they can distinguish sensitive changes in objects and lead blind people through traffic lights.
