What will happen if a dog is too hot?

A dog that is too hot will keep drinking water or breathing with its tongue. Because dogs do not have sweat glands, dogs will use their tongues to dissipate heat and expel hot air from their chests. Dog heatstroke symptoms and solutions

1. Mild heatstroke

Symptoms: drooling, panting, restlessness.

Solution: Loosen the collar and chest strap, and lower the ambient temperature. Move the pet to a cool place or give it an electric fan or air conditioner to cool it down, and then give it an appropriate amount of water to slowly recover.

2. Moderate heat stroke

Symptoms: difficulty breathing and sluggishness.

Solution: First wet the pet's body with ice water, or half-immerse it in the water. Be careful not to use all ice water when soaking to prevent the dog's body temperature from dropping sharply. Generally, water from the tap can be used. Send to the hospital immediately after emergency treatment.

3. Severe heat stroke

Symptoms: Coma and shock

Solution: First wet the body with ice water or wrap the whole body with a towel. You can also wipe with alcohol to cool down, or pour cold water from the anus into the rectum, and then send to the hospital as soon as possible. On the way to the hospital, be sure to lower the pet's head and straighten its neck to keep breathing smooth and prevent vomiting.
