Correction of dog defecation training methods

1. Select a defecation location

First select a fixed defecation location, and take it with you every time the dog wants to defecate. It goes to a fixed place, and it knows where to defecate next time. There can only be one location, and do not change it casually. This will give the dog the impression that it can defecate anywhere. If the dog does not know where to defecate, it may defecate casually.

2. Master the dog’s defecation patterns

In order to better train dogs to defecate at fixed points, we must understand the dog’s defecation patterns. Generally speaking, dogs are used to defecating 0.5 to 1 hour after eating and 0.5 to 1 hour before and after sleeping. If you find that it wants to defecate, you should take it to the toilet immediately.

3. Remember to praise the dog

When the dog defecates in the designated place, you should immediately praise it and give it a small snack to encourage it. The dog will associate defecation here with rewards. Together, they will go to a fixed defecation place next time.
