Differences between Shiba Inu and Akita Inu

Size

The standard shoulder height of Akita Inu is 66.7, while the standard shoulder height of Shiba Inu is 39.5. In terms of body shape, Akita Inu is much larger than Shiba Inu.

Coat quality

Akita dogs have medium-long hair and look fluffy, while Shiba Inu dogs have short-haired dogs and look very docile.

Coat Color

Akita Inu are mainly red, white and tabby, while Shiba Inu are mostly red and black.

Head shape

The Akita Inu has a large skull, a flat top, and a wide forehead. The Shiba Inu has a rounder face.
