In the process of treating the small area, more medicines are used, and the dog’s gastrointestinal flora is destroyed. Therefore, feeding must be gradual. It is best not to feed dog food because it is difficult to digest. It is better to feed liquid food for a period of time, egg yolk porridge, minced meat porridge (without any seasoning, it should be light during illness, just like people after illness) or pet milk powder mixed with rice cereal. Then slowly increase the dog's food intake, allowing his gastrointestinal tract to adapt and slowly restore the operation of the digestive system.

After about 1-2 weeks, if there are no symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea, you can resume your normal diet. If vomiting or diarrhea only occurs occasionally, fast for 24 hours (usually water is not allowed).

Disinfect the environment and do not bathe

During the recovery period for at least one month, the dog’s excrement will still contain a large amount of viruses, so do not let the dog go out and disinfect the environment well. It is not advisable to take a bath as it can easily worsen the condition. If your dog soils itself, you can wipe it with a wrung-out hot towel, move it to another location, and then disinfect the original location.
