What is CKU?

CKU (China Kennel Union), the professional and technical branch of the China Working Dog Management Association, is the only official member organization of FCI in China and has complete qualifications for purebred dog management and breeding registration in China. (FCI is the World Canine Federation, the largest and oldest dog industry organization in the world.)

What can CKU do?

Breeding dog registration: purebred dog identification, pedigree, international export, and issuance of breeding certificates; purebred dog chip registration, parent-child relationship identification, and hip (elbow) joint testing system for three types of purebred dog pedigree testing.
Organize dog events: Promote and implement dog events, publish CKU participating dog standings; translate FCI competition rules, dog breed standards, and judging matters, and maintain contact with foreign associations and FCI.
Organize industry training: formulate training outlines for dog trainers, dog beauticians and other related practitioners, supervise and guide daily teaching, and control professional qualification examinations.
CKU official website club: www.cku.org.cn, all business and consultation can be operated and inquired on the official website.
The electronic version of "CKU Dog Love Magazine" was established to promote the association and members.

What is the method for selecting CKU competition-level dogs?

1. The owner and the dog run laps together to see the dog’s stance, gait, movements and overall skeleton coordination.
2. Feel the bones, muscles, hair, testicles, etc. of the greyhound to determine the quality of the bite and body structure.
3. The owner leads the dog to walk in a designated straight line or triangle, so that the shortcomings that were not discovered during the lap can be clearly discovered one by one, and then the dog's standing posture and tension level can be compared when it calms down.
