The owner can take toys or objects that the dog likes and shake them in front of the dog, but the dog is required to stay in place. If the dog wants to come and take the toy, the owner must stop it in time. The owner can use some coercive means to keep the dog from moving, and reward the dog if it does well. The same can be done with food for training.
