The process of measuring the dog’s temperature

1. Shake the thermometer evenly to allow the mercury column to reach 35 degrees Celsius. Apply water, Vaseline or olive oil to the outer layer to lubricate it to reduce the risk to the dog when measuring the temperature. Anal stimulation.
2. Find someone to help hold the dog’s head to prevent it from breaking away. Let the dog lie on your lap, hold the buttocks, raise the dog's tail, slowly rotate the thermometer, and insert the thermometer into the rectum. The insertion length is approximately half the length of the thermometer.
3. Measure for three minutes. After three minutes, take out the thermometer and observe the data.
4. If the dog is very resistant to measuring the rectal temperature, you can choose to measure the temperature of the inner thigh, push away the hair on the inner thigh or choose a place with less hair, press the thigh on the ventral side and clamp it thermometer. The measured data plus 0.5 degrees Celsius can also be used as a reference for accurate body temperature.

Precautions for taking the temperature of dogs

1. Remember to disinfect the thermometer with alcohol to avoid bacterial infection.
