How to dock a Corgi’s tail

Generally, it is safest to dock a Corgi’s tail within three days after birth. At this time, the Corgi’s nerves are not yet mature and will not feel pain.
Tools: medical alcohol, iodine, rubber bands, scissors, disposable injection syringe (small PV tube), scissors (art knife), electric razor.
1. First cut off the head of the needle tube with scissors to make two transparent sections, and then wrap the rubber band tightly around one end of the needle tube.
2. Use an electric razor to remove the body hair at the end of the little milk base's tail. Be careful not to hurt the dog and perform a simple disinfection.
3. Insert the tail of the small nipple through one end of the needle tube, making sure that the end with the rubber band is tightly in contact with the dog's tail and body. Then straighten the dog's tail and push the rubber band at the front of the needle forward so that the rubber band is tightly wrapped around the end of the little milk base's tail.
4. Remove the syringe, then apply alcohol again to disinfect it, and you're done. But this does not mean that the whole work is over. Every day after that, the owner needs to disinfect the tail of the little milk base until the tail falls off on its own. Finally, rub some iodine on the docked tail to help it recover.
In the international standard for Corgis, tail docking is a standardized requirement for the breed’s appearance. But if you just keep it at home, you can keep it. Raising a corgi with a tail is also a special feature.
