It is best to use pet-specific bath products; use ear drops every month to clean the ear canal of Labrador 2- 3 times to remove the odor from the ear canal; the odor from the anal glands is also very strong, so the Labrador’s anal glands must be squeezed regularly.

1. Take a bath regularly

Labradors are born with a strong body odor. If the owner does not do a good job in cleaning, the smell will become worse. Therefore, owners should bathe Labrador dogs regularly, use dog-specific bath products, and dry the hair immediately after bathing. But you cannot bathe your dog frequently, otherwise you will easily get skin diseases.

 2. Eliminate bad breath

Some Labradors have no smell, but bad breath comes out when they open their mouths. Bad breath in Labradors is usually caused by internal heat. It is recommended to drink more water and eat something light. Or it is caused by eating animal offal instead of dog food. Unlike people, dogs cannot be brushed with toothbrushes. Owners can buy dental cleaning sticks for Labradors, just twice a week. If the dental cleaning stick is ineffective, you can go to the pet store to buy oral cleaning liquid specially sprayed on the dog's mouth.

3. Clean the ear canal

In daily care, parents will definitely bathe their dogs frequently, but sometimes they ignore the dog’s ears. When ear mites appear in the dog’s ears, or there is an infection, they will make some very loud noises. If there is an unpleasant smell, parents must take the dog to the hospital for treatment at this time, and then use alcohol to wipe and disinfect it in daily care.

4. Clean anal glands

The most common odor in dogs comes from the anus. Dogs living at home, because they do not exercise much and have reduced leg muscle strength, are unable to squeeze out excess anal gland fluid, causing accumulation of anal glands, resulting in obstruction and swelling, and then the anal glands will produce odor, leading to Inflammation, bleeding or even rupture. Therefore, when bathing the dog, parents can express the anal glands of the dog to keep the dog healthy and free of odor.
