How to Groom a Papillon Dog

Butterfly dog grooming is relatively easy, just trim the tufts of hair on the bottom of the feet (do not trim any fringes of hair between the toes). Their coat is often described as having a nylon texture that does not stick to dirt and requires only a few minutes of grooming every day to keep it clean. Use some high-quality pet-specific shampoo when bathing, then blow it out and comb it, paying special attention to the ears. After bathing and no sewage remains, wipe dry with sterilized cotton balls.
Choose some light-colored oil such as coconut oil and apply it on the ear fringes or body to help your dog show its best performance in beauty pageants. The hard stubble at the muzzle should not be pulled out, because in this dog's view, they can protect the eyes. For some special occasions (including beauty pageants), Papillon dogs need to be thoroughly "dry cleaned".
Check your Papillon’s teeth to see if they need cleaning. Check the dirty door area and wash the hair in this area with soap.
Give it a warm bath, starting from the face and washing the whole body thoroughly. Be careful not to splash soap foam into its eyes.
Ears should be gently wiped inside the ear canal one by one, and be sure to keep the inside and outside of the ear dry. When taking a bath, make sure your ears are completely dry before washing other parts. If you are not careful, ear infections can easily cause infection. After taking a shower, use a hair dryer to dry your hair.
