How to raise a newborn Shiba Inu? A newborn Shiba Inu is relatively fragile, so you should pay more attention to the warmth of the Shiba Inu, and the hygiene of the kennel should also be kept clean. Breastfeeding is also a problem for the Shiba Inu. It is best to keep it close to the female Shiba Inu. Drink breast milk; if there is no breast milk for the Shiba Inu, buy a syringe to feed the Shiba Inu yourself. After the Shiba Inu is weaned, you can start feeding it soft dog food.

First of all, you need to ensure that the Shiba Inu is warm. The mat in its nest should be thicker. If possible, it is best to put an electric blanket. If not, a hot water bottle or a drink bottle filled with hot water will also work.

It is more difficult for Shiba Inu to suck milk. You can buy a syringe, pull out the needle and just use the plastic part.

Shiba Inu dogs have difficulty digesting milk. Just buy a bag of cheap baby milk powder, it doesn’t need to be expensive, one bag can last a Shiba Inu until he is one month old.

When feeding, put the syringe into the Shiba Inu's mouth. Be careful not to choke. Feed once every four hours.

Now that the Shiba Inu can suck, it will be more convenient to buy a smaller baby pacifier that can be put on the drink bottle, and it will save a lot of trouble than using a needle.

After a month, when the milk powder is almost gone, wean the Shiba Inu. If there is dog food, add dog food to its milk step by step, soak it until soft and give it to him. Instead of eating dog food, just feed porridge. Just two rice porridge, with a little bit of mashed ham in it. Shiba Inu especially likes to eat it.

The Shiba Inu is too young to urinate and defecate. Now you need to moisten a paper towel or cotton cloth with warm water and gently wipe his back. Be patient. The Shiba Inu needs enough stimulation to urinate and defecate. You should stimulate him after each feeding.

If you don’t have a bowel movement within two days, go to the drugstore to buy some Kaiseilu, and wrap a thin layer of cotton on the toothpick. About one-third of it is enough. Wrap more at the tip to make sure it is fully covered with Kaiseilu. Lubricate enough, defecate the Shiba Inu from behind, be sure to do it slowly and not to hurt the Shiba Inu.

Observe whether there are white granular objects in his poop. If so, it may be that your milk powder is too thick. Adjust the measurement.

But don’t rely on Kaisellu. Just stimulate the Shiba Inu’s poop area regularly. Urination should occur before and after every feeding. It is normal to have a bowel movement every two days.

A newborn Shiba Inu has no hearing or vision for the first ten days, and relies on its sense of smell to recognize everything in the world.

It will smell everywhere when it is hungry, and it will smell everywhere when it wants to urinate and defecate.

The newborn Shiba Inu must be kept warm and not frozen.

In about two weeks, the Shiba Inu’s eyes will slowly open, and its ears will also slowly open. After three weeks or more, he will be able to stand on his own. Exercise him and walk for a while every day, but you must always be careful not to tire the Shiba Inu.

Also, pay attention to hygiene at the umbilical cord to prevent the wound from becoming infected, and pay attention to keeping the cavity warm and dry.
