How to tell the difference between a Scottish Sheepdog? A Scottish Sheepdog’s head should be flat, with a wedge-shaped head, a snout that is not pointed, a black nose, and a scissor-shaped bite of the incisors. The ears and eyes are small, dark chestnut brown, with a lion-shaped back, oval feet, and low hocks. The tail is long and flag-shaped, usually drooping, but can be raised when excited. It should have a double layer of fur, and the chest and neck should be richly feathered.

See if the dog meets Su Mu’s characteristics. If it does, it is considered a purebred.

(1) The skull is flat, the head is wedge-shaped, the snout is not pointed, the nose is black, and the incisors bite like a scissors.

(4) The limbs are straight and strong, the feet are oval, and the hock joints are low.

(5) The base of the tail is low, with long hair like a flag. It hangs down normally but can rise when excited.

(6) It has a double coat: the upper coat is long and thick; the lower coat is soft and fine, and the chest and neck are richly feathered.
