How do you tell the age of a Rottweiler? Generally, the age is judged based on the condition of the teeth. A Rottweiler begins to produce deciduous teeth more than ten days after birth. After 2 months, the deciduous teeth begin to be gradually replaced by permanent teeth. The incisors are replaced at 2-4 months, and 4- Canine teeth are replaced in 6 months, and permanent teeth are replaced in 8-10 months. It takes approximately 1 and a half years for all the Rottweiler's teeth to grow.

Under 2 months old, there are only deciduous teeth, which are white, thin and sharp.

2-4 months, replace the front teeth.

4-6 months, canine teeth are replaced, the teeth are white and the tips are rounded and blunt.

6-10 months, molars are replaced.

1-year-old’s teeth are straight, white and shiny, and the incisors have no cusps.

At 2 years old, the cusp of the lower incisor was flattened.

At 3 years old, the apex of the upper incisor was flattened.

At 4-5 years old, the upper and lower incisors begin to wear, become slightly beveled and turn yellow.

6-8 years old, the incisors are worn and the roots of the teeth are exposed, the canine teeth are yellow and the lips are worn.

At the age of 16, the incisors were lost and the canines were incomplete.

At the age of 20, the canine teeth fell out.
