How to choose a beagle

1. The Beagle’s belly should feel strong and meaty. The shoulder height is approximately between 13 inches and 15 inches, making it a standard medium-sized dog.
2. The skull of a Beagle should be approximately oblong, with moderate length and width. The back of the head should be slightly rounded and the occiput should be wider.
3. The edges of the Beagle’s mouth, tongue, and lips are black, and the tissues of the mouth are almost entirely black. The ideal mouth for a pet dog is pure black. The upper part and edge of the tongue are pure blue-black, the darker the better.
4. The beagle’s eyes should be larger, the distance between the eyes should be wider, the eyes should be gentle, and the eyeballs should be dark black or brown.
5. Beagle ears should be long and large, hanging down to the bottom of the mouth and close to both cheeks.
6. The Beagle has a moderate neck length, slight wrinkles at the forehead, deep and wide chest, short back, sloping shoulders, and well-developed muscles.
7. Beagle dogs should have short limbs, strong forelimbs, large hind limbs, well-developed leg muscles, and plump and hard pads.
8. The tail is thick and long, with a strong and upward sword-like tail. It is often tilted high and swings flexibly.
