　1.Height

Shoulder height standards: males are 25 to 27 inches tall at the shoulders; females are 23 to 25 inches tall at the shoulders. 1 inch tolerance is allowed for both genders but is considered a minor flaw. Males under 24 inches or over 28 inches; females under 22 inches or over 26 inches are disqualified.

　2. Head

Medium length, aristocratic, with a moderate stop and a center line extending back and beyond the forehead. The occipital bone is prominent and flares backward, starting behind the eye sockets. The distance from the tip of the nose to the stop is approximately the same as the distance from the stop to the occipital bone. The upper lip is straight and the nostrils are delicate. The skin is compact. The neck is neatly contoured and of good length. The expression is kind, sharp and intelligent.

　3. Eyes

Different depths of light amber, gray, and blue-gray are spaced widely enough to appear well laid out. Under excitement, it is almost black.

　4.Teeth

Well laid out, strong and even, well developed and proportionate to the jaw, with a correct scissor bite. The teeth on the upper jaw should point slightly outward and should not exceed 1/16 inch relative to the teeth on the lower jaw. A complete dentition is ideal.

　5. Nose

Gray.

　6. Lips and gums

Pink or flesh color.

7. Ears

Long, leaf-like, slightly folded, and set high. If the ears are stretched forward along the jaw, they are about 2 inches from the tip of the nose.

　8. Body

Back of medium length, straight, strong, and sloping slightly back from withers. The chest is well developed and the shoulder blades are sloping back. Ribs well sprung. The abdomen is firm and the waist is moderately lifted. The base of the chest extends to the elbows.
