Kinothorax turtles can hibernate or not. For kinothorax turtles under artificial breeding conditions, you can directly decide whether to hibernate by adjusting the water temperature. Raise under heated conditions and do not allow the tortoise to hibernate. Do not adjust the water temperature and directly allow the tortoise to hibernate. It is best not to hibernate for too long, because the tortoise in hibernation will be at risk of getting sick.

Precautions for hibernating turtles:

1. Check the health status. Before hibernating, be sure to check the health of the turtle. Sick turtles should be warmed and treated first, and hibernation will be allowed after the disease is cured.

2. Quiet environment. The hibernating environment of the turtle should be quiet and shading. If it is noisy or without shading, it will be difficult for the turtle to enter hibernation even if the temperature reaches about 8 to 10 degrees. This consumes the turtle's physical strength and is not good for hibernation.

3. Heating is strictly prohibited. Some people are afraid that the turtle will be too cold, so as soon as the sun comes out, they will put the hibernating turtle under the sun to warm it up. As a result, the turtle's physical strength will drop sharply and it will die.
