Turtles shed their shells. This process is called armor replacement, because it has to grow up little by little. When it grows to a certain extent, the original tortoise shell will limit its development, and then the old scales need to be shed to reveal the newer ones that have basically grown inside. Big updated scales. The shelling time can range from a few days to more than 1 to 3 months. If fed well, it will shed its shell very quickly.

Notes on turtle shelling:

1. Change water and sterilize. Change the water in time and add an appropriate amount of coarse salt to prevent bacterial growth.

2. Supplement calcium. During the shelling process, you should feed more fish with scales and shrimp with shells to supplement calcium and promote new shells to grow as quickly as possible.

3. Avoid interference. During the shelling period, be sure to avoid disturbing it, otherwise it may have a stress reaction or prolong the time it takes to shell.

4. Clean up in time. The environment must be kept clean and hygienic, and the scales that have fallen off need to be cleaned up in time.

4. Eat reasonably. After shelling, you need to spend more time in the sun, mix meat and vegetables, and eat a reasonable diet to promote pigmentation, and the patterns will gradually become clear.
