Symptoms of heatstroke in dogs:

1. Lack of energy and looking tired.

2. Unwilling to move and slow to respond.

3. The body temperature rises, usually exceeding 41.5 degrees.

4. Breathing heavily and heartbeat too fast.

5. Blood spots appear on the skin because dehydration causes the blood circulation function to decrease. The water content of the blood decreases and the viscosity increases, which can easily block the capillaries on the body surface and cause blood spots to appear.

6. The dog shows symptoms of epilepsy, tremors, and coma.

There are also measures to prevent heat stroke in dogs:

1. Place the dog in a cool and ventilated place, and never let the dog continue to be exposed to the sun.

2. Splash the dog’s hair with cold water to help the dog lower its body temperature.

3. Wipe the dog’s feet and head with a wet towel, and apply ice packs to the dog’s groin and other areas.

4. When the dog’s body temperature drops to normal, stop cooling immediately to avoid hypothermia in the dog and cause an emergency.

5. Send the dog to the hospital for medical treatment as soon as possible.
