Symptoms of gastric bleeding in dogs

Treatment of gastric bleeding in dogs

1. Blood transfusion. For dogs with severe anemia, whole blood can be transfused at 5 to 7 ml per dry gram of body weight.

2. Supplement vitamins and ferrous sulfate, subcutaneously inject 5 to 10 mg of folic acid and 0.5 to 2 mg of vitamin K per dry gram of body weight. Take 0.1 to 0.5 grams of ferrous sulfate orally.

3. Stop bleeding, use hemostatic drugs such as hemostasis.

4. For symptomatic treatment, use antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs such as β-lactam drugs. For gastric bleeding, ulcer healing drugs such as omeprazole should be used.

5. If there are symptoms of vomiting, antiemetics should be used. Pay attention to determine whether the dog's gastric bleeding is a primary disease or a secondary disease.
