Symptoms of chronic stomatitis in cats:

1. Oral pain, difficulty chewing, or sudden howling in pain when chewing.

2. The gums around the sick cat’s teeth and/or the root of the back of the pharynx become red.

3. When the condition is severe, the gums can proliferate significantly and bleed easily. In severe cases, it may extend to the throat.

4. Gingivitis is often accompanied by damage to the tooth neck, and occasionally loose teeth are seen.

Treatment methods for chronic stomatitis in cats:

1. Conventional treatment, mainly using drugs (antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, interferons, etc.) to relieve pain and reduce inflammation in cats , reduce the cat’s own pain. However, the treatment cycle is long, unpredictable, and prone to recurrence.

2. Surgical treatment. When stomatitis is severe, surgical treatment is generally used. Surgical treatment mainly takes the form of full-mouth tooth extraction. Full mouth extraction means removing all molars and cavities. This is the most effective treatment for feline stomatitis.
