Plague can be transmitted to cats, but because cats have much higher immunity to plague than other animals, most cats can recover naturally even after being infected and retain plague-specific antibodies in their bodies for a long time. Plague is caused by Yersinia pestis and is a disease prevalent among wild rodents.

The transmission routes of plague:

1. In daily life, if you come into contact with the sputum of plague patients or the skin, blood and damaged local tissues of sick animals, , this condition can easily spread plague through the skin.

2. Rat fleas are generally transmitted by rat fleas. If you are bitten by rat fleas, they are transmitted to the body and become infected with plague.

3. Plague is a highly contagious disease. If you are too close to a patient, you can easily be infected through droplets.
