According to these characteristics, when grooming a Pekingese dog, the thinner hair on the face can be combed with a comb and trimmed slightly, while the thicker and stiffer hair on the face (whiskers, vibrissae, etc.) Long and dense hair is preferred, but it is best not to have too much hair on the face.

The undercoat on the ears can be trimmed off with coarse shearing shears. The Pekingese dog's eyes are large, round, and slightly protruding, and are easily invaded by dust and shed hair. Therefore, you should often use 2% boric acid cotton balls or cold boiled water cotton balls to gently wipe from the inside of the eyes outward to remove foreign matter.

When the weather is hot in summer, you can use electric scissors to cut off about 1 cm of hair from the abdomen to the inside of the chest in an area that cannot be seen from the outside.
