Bleeding from cat nail clippings is generally fine. As long as the owner handles it promptly and disinfects it, there is generally no problem. When cutting a cat's nails and bleeding occurs, the owner can use a dry paper towel to apply pressure to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding cannot be stopped, the owner can apply hemostatic powder or Yunnan Baiyao. After the bleeding has stopped, iodophor is used for disinfection. In severe cases, bandaging is required.

Methods to avoid bleeding when cutting cat nails

1. For nails that are not too long, if you are afraid of cutting the blood line, you can directly use a nail polisher or Nail file for polishing.

2. When cutting the cat's nails, do not cut the nails at the blood line. You can cut them about 3 mm in front of the blood line.

3. If you can’t see the blood line position of the cat’s nails clearly, you can trim it little by little, several times in small amounts, until you see a pink-white inner core in the cat’s nails, you should stop.
