It is not a pure fold-eared cat. The onset of the disease is generally between 3-7 years old. The onset time of folded-eared cats is different. Depending on the breeding genes, there are also differences in the sooner or later the onset of the disease. If it is a homozygous folded-eared cat, the onset will be earlier, probably before 1 year old; if it is a heterozygous cat, the onset time will be earlier. Cats with folded ears usually develop symptoms around 3-7 years old.

Symptoms of cats with folded ears

1. Lameness in the hind limbs, frequent lifting of hands, arched back, walking as if walking on stilts, etc. In addition, the cat’s tail appears stubby and its joints are stiff and unable to swing.

2. The bones and joints of the hind limbs develop abnormally, and the foot bones are abnormally bent and shorter than those of normal cats. The bones and joints of the soles of the feet swell, and some cats' toes even become deformed and their claws cannot extend and contract normally.

3. Similar symptoms will also appear on the forelimbs, but the severity is less severe than those on the hind limbs. Abnormal growth of bone and cartilage tissue causes pain to the cat and reduces its ability to move.
