Treatment of pseudorabies

Treatment methods for pseudorabies:
1. Early application of anti-pseudorabies hyperimmune serum or gamma immunoglobulin prepared thereby to treat sick dogs. Please refer to the instructions for dosage. Have better effect. If neurological symptoms have already occurred, the effect will be ineffective. Various antibiotic and chemical treatments are ineffective.
2. If the high fever persists, metamizole and ampicillin can be injected intramuscularly once a day for 3-5 consecutive days. Or intramuscularly inject 0.5g of ampicillin, combined with 2mL of compound aminopyrine, once a day for 2 to 3 days.
3. In case of severe asthma, anti-asthmatic drugs such as ephedrine can be used for treatment.
Preventive measures for pseudorabies:
1. Eliminate rats in kennels and prevent dogs from entering pig pens, especially when pseudorabies occurs in pigs. Feed sick pork to dogs.
2. If you are already sick, strictly disinfect the floor and utensils with 1%-2% sodium hydroxide solution. There is currently no suitable vaccine available. K strain tissue culture vaccines with low virulence and genetic stability, or chicken embryo cell aluminum hydroxide formalin vaccine can be tried.
3. There are reports that pseudorabies can infect humans and manifest as itchy skin. Therefore, when there is trauma, wound infection must be prevented when handling sick dogs or corpses.
