Kittens cannot be vaccinated for 1 month. Kittens at this age still have high levels of maternal antibodies. If vaccinated, the vaccine will be affected by maternal antibodies, thereby reducing the immune effect. Under normal circumstances, it is recommended to start vaccination when the cat is two months old. The entire immune course of the kitten requires three injections of vaccine, with an interval of about 21 days between each injection.

Precautions before and after cats are vaccinated

1. Under normal circumstances, cats are vaccinated for the first time when they are 8 weeks old. The resistance is relatively weak, so before vaccination, the cat should be fed in isolation from other cats. It is best not to bathe the cat before vaccination, and try to minimize operations that cause stress to the cat such as going out and changing the environment. The cat must ensure that the cat has no energy, appetite, etc. Vaccine only if there are obvious abnormalities and no other diseases are present.

2. After vaccination, it is best to observe the cat in the hospital for 15 to 30 minutes before going home, so as to prevent the cat from having an acute vaccine reaction and not receiving timely treatment.

3. After the cat is vaccinated, it should try to avoid bathing, going out, changing food, etc. In the next few days, the cat may become depressed and lose appetite, which are normal vaccine reactions. However, if the cat has severe fever, vomiting or shock, etc., the cat must be taken to the pet hospital for medical treatment in time.
