What is dog hernia?

Dog hernia is mainly related to genetics. It may also be because the umbilical cord was pulled hard or the umbilical cord was cut incorrectly when the mother gave birth, resulting in the umbilical hole tearing or incomplete atresia in the abdominal wall. When the abdominal pressure increases, the abdominal contents (intestine, mesentery, etc.) will protrude through the umbilicus and subcutaneously to form a hernia. In addition, not paying attention to disinfection when handling the umbilical cord can cause the umbilical cord to become infected, inflamed, and even suppurate, affecting the umbilical atresia and easily leading to this disease.
