Dogs dream

Scientists have long studied dog sleep. Dog sleep is roughly divided into five stages. The first stage is light sleep, which is the sleep state of dogs in most cases, so they wake up whenever there is a sound. The second stage is when the brain is out of consciousness, and the third and fourth stages are deep sleep stages. The fifth stage is called the rapid eye movement period. If you observe carefully, you will find that the dog's eyelids are beating rapidly and the brain is very active. Dreaming appears in the fifth stage.

Performances of a dog’s dream

There are various manifestations of a dog’s dream, which are related to the situation in its dream. Some dogs will have slight twitching of their limbs, as if they are running. Some dogs will chew as if they are eating. Some dogs will make a grunting sound, as if they are coquettish.

Precautions for dog sleep

1. It is recommended that dogs under 6 months old should sleep for about 20 hours. Dogs at this stage grow rapidly and need a lot of sleep to repair. Cells provide energy for growth.
2. Dogs after 6 months old should also ensure 16-18 hours of sleep every day.
3. The place where the dog sleeps should be far away from the places where people often move around. This can make the dog sleep more comfortably and have better sleep quality.
