Needs a lot of exercise

First of all, bloodhounds require a relatively large amount of exercise and need to be taken outside for at least two times a day. If the amount of exercise is not enough, bloodhounds will also break up the house and gain weight.

Easily gain weight

Bloodhounds gain weight easily. In addition to regular exercise, they should also pay more attention to their diet. They can eat small amounts frequently and prepare several bowls of water at home. Do not engage in strenuous activities within an hour after a bloodhound has just eaten, as bloodhounds are prone to gastrointestinal diseases, including acute gastric volvulus and gastric dilation.

Wrinkled eyes are prone to problems

Because bloodhounds have more wrinkles on their faces, trichiasis is also a susceptibility factor for them. Special attention should be paid to feces scooping. If they find that there are too many wrinkles on the eyelids, causing hair to get into the eyes, they should be sent to the pet hospital for trichiasis surgery to avoid further damage.
