5. In chronic hepatitis, long-term loss of appetite and indigestion can be seen, often secondary to liver cirrhosis, and symptoms such as ascites, weight loss, anemia and malnutrition may occur.

Causes of dog hepatitis

1. It is caused by toxins that stimulate the liver under the stimulation of certain infectious diseases (canine infectious hepatitis), gastrointestinal diseases, etc.
2. Stimulation by certain poisons and drugs, such as ingestion of arsenic, mercury, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, phosphorus, plant alkaloids, phenols and other poisons; repeated use of chlorpromazine, testosterone, halothane, etc. drugs, causing hepatitis.
3. Parasitism. Clonorchis sinensis and Opisthorchis parasitize in the bile ducts of the liver. The parasites release toxins that damage liver cells and cause hepatitis.

Prevention and treatment measures for dog hepatitis

1. Eliminate the cause: mainly treat the original disease and stop using drugs that damage liver function.
2. Hepatoprotective and choleretic: 25% glucose injection 50~100 ml, vitamin C injection 2 ml, vitamin Bk 2 ml, vitamin B‰, ml can be intravenously injected once a day. To promote bile excretion, 10-30 grams of artificial salt or magnesium sulfate or sodium sulfate can be taken orally.
3. Enhance liver detoxification function: Glutamic acid can be used and dogs can take 0.5-2 grams orally each time, 3 times a day.
