When the dog grabs something, it is not allowed to spit it out without the owner's command.

3. When the German Shepherd stops spitting out things at will, you can let it follow you around with things in its mouth. Before doing this, the effectiveness of German Shepherd obedience training must be determined. Because in addition to not letting go of the items in your mouth, you also need to make sure that it is willing to follow you all the time and will not run away on its own.

4. Since the German Shepherd is very accustomed to walking around with things in its mouth, you can then let it identify the items you want it to pick up. Let it first establish the association between the item and the name. For example, when you say "cell phone," it knows where to look for your phone. Place the object on the ground until the German Shepherd is willing to pick it up. This training step is not complete.

5. When the German Shepherd understands the correlation between the object and its name, it will pick up the object. But that's not enough, because it is then encouraged to "actively search" for the object. When the object is no longer in front of it and you give the command, it will take the initiative to smell around until it finds the object.
