Common causes of pneumonia in dogs:

1. Secondary infection. This kind of situation is more common when dogs suffer from original diseases, such as colds, fevers, infectious diseases, etc. At this time, their immunity is low and their body resistance is poor, which can easily induce pneumonia.

2. Parasites. When a dog is infected with internal parasites, some parasites can live in or travel to the dog's lungs and cause pneumonia.

3. Accidental ingestion of foreign objects. When a dog inhales foreign objects into the trachea due to vomiting or swallowing too quickly, it can cause infection of the lining of the respiratory system and lead to pneumonia.

Common symptoms of dog pneumonia:

1. The most direct manifestation of dog pneumonia is coughing, nasal secretion of light yellow liquid, mouth breathing, and some infections. Puppies will have symptoms of cyanosis of the tongue and exophthalmos.

2. The dog’s lungs are auscultated with crackles or crepitations, and lung X-rays can show varying degrees of thickened lung texture.

3. The dog has symptoms of vomiting and reflux, loss of appetite or no appetite, poor mental state, and increased body temperature.
