Blue and sticky eye droppings in dogs’ eyes are caused by conjunctivitis. The affected dogs will have symptoms such as bleeding and thick secretions from one or both eyes, and half-closed eyes. Conjunctivitis is usually caused by allergies, infection, or trauma. Dogs can be given ointment antibiotics or antibiotic eye drops, anti-inflammatory drugs or oral medications. Be sure to consult your veterinarian before taking the medication and follow the medical medication instructions.
If the dog’s symptoms do not improve 24 hours after the onset of symptoms, or if the dog’s eyes become red, take it to the pet hospital for treatment immediately.

How to deal with conjunctivitis in dogs

Observe whether the dog’s eyes turn red. If you are sure that there is foreign matter in the dog’s eyes, do not use your fingers, face, tweezers or other hard objects to remove it. Spill foreign objects, which may cause damage to the dog's eyes. Gently rinse the affected eye with about a liter of warm water and wipe around the eye with a small piece of sterile cotton to remove foreign matter and secretions.
