1. The sick dog is depressed, has loss of appetite, is weak, and is unwilling to move.
2. The plasma (clear) is turbid, milky white or yellow, and the serum triglyceride content increases significantly.

Causes of hyperlipidemia in dogs

1. The occurrence of this disease is directly related to reduced food intake, low nutrition and other starvation states or nutritional stress caused by various reasons.
2. When sick dogs suffer from hypothyroidism, hyperadrenocorticism, diabetes, acute pancreatitis and other diseases, they may be accompanied by hyperlipidemia.
3. Intake of high-fat foods can cause a temporary increase in blood lipids.

Treatment measures for hyperlipidemia in dogs

1. First, the causative factors should be removed and the dog should be fed low-fat food.
2. Oral or intravenous injection of thiopropyl glycine, 100-200 ml/kg body weight, for 2 weeks.
